Welcome to Peculiar Loops! This is a literate peculiar roleplay, based around the Miss Peregrine's school for peculiar children book series written by Ransom Riggs. This forum is for those who are relatively confident in their writing capabilities. Below you will find all there is to know about the site, as well as all the rules that must be followed. This thread is a mandatory read, meaning you MUST read this before you continue on to creating a character application. Reading this page will make you understand the way the site runs a little better, so there will be less confusion and less of a chance for you to break the rules.

INTRODUCTION TO PECULIAR LOOPS
This site runs on a one character per account system. Your account will be connected to everything your character can do, so it is best to set your account name to be the same thing as your character. EACH PERSON MAY HAVE A MAXIMUM OF FOUR CHARACTERS.
This particular roleplay is STATLESS. Meaning you do not need to create fighting stats for your characters. This leaves more time to create a good application with extra character development. Your writing is what is really important here, so we will keep it as simple as possible.
Peculiar Loops is a roleplay based around the concept that the impossible isn't unobtainable. Some humans are born with extraordinary abilities, like fire manipulation or super strength. You can find a list of powers listed in the archives if you are struggling to decide, just keep in mind that powers that are unreasonable will be rejected. For example, the ability to take away powers from others or kill something on sight. If you have an idea and are unsure if it falls into that category, PM a staff member and ask.

The large image avatar maximum size on this site is 200X300 pixels. The smaller hover image is 180X100 pixels.
This site does not allow signatures. Sorry for the inconvenience, but it keeps our boards streamlined and clean.
RULES
1. Peculiar Loops is a friendly environment intended to provide a fun space for everyone. Harassment and insults will not be tolerated, and will earn you a suspension from the site.
2. ABSOLUTELY NO PORNOGRAPHIC CONTENT. Period. This should go without saying.
3. When in character, do not Godmod. This means taking control of another person's character and doing what you want without their say. Remember you aren't writing a book, you are working with others. Play fairly.
4. Swearing is allowed, but not in excess. If it adds to what your character is saying go for it. But don't go overboard.
5. Sex scenes are not needed. You can imply, but there's no need to act it out.
6. Graphics must be originally made, used with permission from the original creator, or the photos / work used to make it must be stock and royalty free. This will prevent you from getting in trouble for copyright infringement.
7. In the in character boards try your best to avoid talking out of character. If you must do some planning take it over to the Character Plotting boards, go to PM or talk it over in the C-box.
8. The last, and corniest rule of all is to HAVE FUN! This place is a nice little escape from reality, so lets keep it that way!
